Democracy’s fundamental aspect is ‘ Unity in Diversity’. This basic aspect works the same for the whole world. Culture and religion are interconnected. But that excludes humans as poles. The completeness of divinity is in unity. But, the religions puritanism and its sub-divisions uses humans like dice. In our landscape, mineral tools like “Vel” (a kind of spear), “Soolam” (trident) and other aspects of nature such as sun, tree, ant-hill are considered as the symbols of Divinity. All the religions preach love and humanity through idols worship and formless worship aspects. Potrarasan’s sculptural works depict that Divinity’s symbols are present in positive thoughts and living together with others in unity.
