In the past two decades particularly, there has been a rapid expansion of the urban landscape through the construction activity and the growth of real estate. Cities are growing in terms of their area, drawing and redrawing their cartography. Such expansion has been leading to the occupation of the forest, agricultural, and green glands. As a result the life of other creatures and their ecology is constantly disturbed. We are building new projects and dams for our purposes and needs of water supply and agricultural growth but we do not pay much attention to how wildlife gets affected by these activities. I tried to reflect upon these issues in the present work where the textured area in the paintings, created by straight and geometric lines and their combination, appear like a digital map. It represents our mechanical and digital condition of economic and technological advancement. The man is wearing the goggles that are made to represent a way of looking, a vision that is strongly influenced by the digital mechanical sensibilities. The deer in another painting is contrasted with the abstract geometric texture to show that even as the state of Telangana declared Deer as the state animal, it is equally engaged in the urban expansion and concrete constructions. These works attempt to display such a paradox of our times.
